Our Client

We were approached by Italian luxury fashion boutique-Moschino which specializes in leather accessories, shoes, high-fashion apparels for women, men & kids, luggage and fragrances. The high-end fashion company has over 150 worldwide boutiques worldwide and an extensive e-commerce site. The brand is super popular among fashion lovers because of its high-quality and unique style.

Project prerequisite

The client shoot their apparels on models & and possess a consistent pattern of listing their products with ghost mannequin effect. For their upcoming summer collection they were inundated with large amount of images and sought for ghost mannequin services on models and mannequins. Prepress India was approached by Moschino for Ghost Mannequin Services. They sent us 200 images and wanted processed images within 24 hours.

Project Challenges

The challenges that came our way are as follows:

The batch of images we received was not shot in perfect lighting, thus looked little dusky
The client wanted the still images to come to life and look like as if a real model was wearing it.
The client wanted bulk images to be edited within 24 hours
Some of the images required stitching of various parts of the apparel like sleeves, neck, bottoms etc.
Also, some apparels were complex in nature

What we did

The image editing experts at Prepress India developed this solution-

Images went through the process of clipping path and then to the retouching expert.
First the clipping path experts created path around the apparel and removed mannequins and models from all the images.
With seamless communication between the two the clipping path expert shared clipped images to the retouching experts
The retouching experts stitched various parts of the apparel, conserving every detail to give apparel an upright and raised look, as if a real model was wearing it.
The retouching expert further d-creased, reshaped, enhanced the color, cleansed the background and overall increased the contrast of apparels to produce a cleaner silhouette.
After passing through the quality check and clients feedback, the final images were shared via Dropbox in TIFF and ready to upload images on website i.e. JPEG format.

Outcome Achieved

The bulk images were successfully edited within 24 hours and client was quite jubilant with the results. They were able to launch their summer collection effectively on their e-commerce website. Some of the key results they experienced were-
